Archery Update

Grizz is still practicing his archery skills. He drew for an elk tag in the Highwood Mountains for this fall. (We'll be hiking around those mountains quite a bit this summer, scouting things out.)
We just purchased a new lens for the camera... a macro lens!!! I enjoyed practicing my shooting skills, while Grizz practiced his :)

We bought the lens from a friend who thought he'd use a macro lens more, but once he bought it, he rarely used it. He let us try it out some before deciding if we wanted it or not. We did. It helped that he gave us a great deal on it!

I LOVE MACRO PHOTOGRAPHY!

Grizz's New Hobby

Grizz got a new tow. See here...
He actually received it for free (thank you to our Brother-In-Law's Father!).

Neighbor grew up participating in archery competitions and her sister and brother-in-law own an archery shop. We greatly appreciate all the help and tips and encouragement from them! (There's Neighbor, braving the cold to help Grizz with his form.)

Even though it was cold, blustery and February, we took out a borrowed target and Grizz finally got to shoot his new toy.

He only shot it three times, but he hit the target each time! He's got some practicing to do before hunting season :)

He's an excited boy! I have a feeling we'll be doing a lot more target shooting in the future!
