Snowshoeing at Flesher Pass

Got cabin fever? Bundle Up & Head Outdoors!

We have a three day weekend, so we decided to take a drive on Saturday morning to go snowshoeing. We invited friends, but only one decided to come with. He brought his dog, which is always a fun addition. Our apartment building doesn't allow pets, so we always enjoy playing with our friends' puppies!

At one point, Grizz found "a perfect climbing tree." So, he took of his snowshoes and went upward. (It's it fun how well the moss matches his coat!)

Of course, once he reached his peak, he and our friend pushed and prodded me until I climbed up after him :) I did not try to go as high as Grizz, but it was a fun scramble! Besides, I couldn't pass up on the opportunity to kiss in a tree... come on, you know you want to say it (K-I-S-S-I-N-G).

Here is our friend and his 3-year old puppy, enjoying the scenery.

Almost done. Is was a great hike - we went about 2.5mi, and took lots of photo breaks!

The stay started out cloudy, snowy and windy, but by the time we finished, it was sunny and gorgeous out!

One more shot of the fun puppy :)

When we arrived, there were only two vehicles (they belonged to a group that winter-camped overnight). When we finished, it was packed... a popular hiking location!

It was a lot of fun to get out and enjoy the outdoors. I always love playing in the snow!
